And The Winner Is ...

One of the most interesting aspects of visiting a trade fair is getting a feel for the trends in the marketplace – who’s talking to whom about what. A fascinating and easily observable trend this year is the move to ever more ridiculous ways of gaining attention for your stand. One particularly popular method is to send attractive young hostesses around the fair, dressed-up in “eye catching” outfits. Amongst other things, we have spent the two days here in Wiesbaden deciding which of the many outfits we have seen was the most ridiculous and are now pleased and proud to announce the winner of the “jMS/MWonline Silliest Outfit for Getting People to Visit Your Exhibition Stand Award 2008” … and the prize goes to … the two charming “astronauts” pictured here.

It really is extraordinary what an effort people will make to attract attention to themselves or their product. I just hope the OMM doesn’t get any funny ideas on the same lines.
